Product details
Latin name: Ilex guayusa
Common name: Guayusa
Family: Aquifoliaceae
Form: Essence
Concentration: 1000mg dried leaf per 1ml
Dosage: 1-10 drops
Primary indications:
Fatigue
According to the Kichwa Indians of Ecuador, Guayusa helps you connect with your inner source of energy. Although Guayusa is a source of xanthines (related to caffeine), it provides long-lasting energy with far fewer peaks and troughs than other caffeinated plants. Suitable for people with lethargic and/or mildly depressive tendencies and who have difficulty activating themselves to build a nourishing and inspiring life. It helps to get off the metaphorical couch. Especially if the fatigue cannot be directly traced back to causes such as chronic illness, prolonged periods of stress and therefore exhaustion or sleep problems, Guayusa can offer a solution.
Concentration
Guayusa can help with lack of concentration, especially if this stems from lethargy.
Procrastination
When the daily tasks seem like an overwhelming mountain, too much to tackle, and you can't see the forest for the trees, Guayusa gives you the courage and perseverance to just go for it.
Secondary indications:
Overweight
Guayusa's stimulating effect and blood sugar-lowering properties help you start and maintain a workout program, for example. It provides a feeling of satisfaction, reducing cravings. If excess weight is partly due to a lethargic lifestyle, significant improvement can be achieved without a separate diet or exercise (although this does, of course, contribute to a better effect).
Warnings:
Chronic fatigue is a warning sign; always carefully check for underlying conditions. These can be very serious and should certainly not be ignored by consuming caffeinated products.
Contraindications:
Do not give Guayusa if you have a weak heart, and only in very minor cases during pregnancy.
quantities, kidney problems, stomach and intestinal complaints such as ulceritis and reflux (although in some cases Guayusa can actually help to prevent constipation, for example).
Interactions:
Any medication that is not recommended when using caffeine should also be avoided in combination with Guayusa. This includes anticoagulants, theophylline, asthma medications, and antidepressants.
